More property to become available?

People seeking to go through the conveyancing process in order to purchase a new
home may welcome comments made by one industry practitioner.
According to Steve Turner, head of communications at the Home
Builders Federation, there is a sense of confidence in the sector,
meaning more new homes may be built.
His comments follow the release of figures from the Chartered
Institute of Purchasing and Supply, which show construction
activity rose in April for the second consecutive month.
Mr Turner remarked: "We have seen the market stabilisation,
industry confidence has improved and the whole sector is much more
positive than it was a year ago."
However, it is too soon to talk about a complete recovery, he
added.
The expert went on to note that there needs to be an increase in
mortgage availability and a reduction in the regulatory burden on
the industry before this can occur.
